About Humby Law

Humby Law is a criminal defence practice with an office at 19 Raleigh Street in Chatham, Ontario. Founder Daniel Humby earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, then completed law degrees at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. Before opening the firm, Humby completed articles and worked as a junior associate at the Law Office of Patricia Brown. Humby is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Criminal Lawyers' Association, and is empanelled with Legal Aid Ontario to accept cases through the certificate program.

The practice covers assault charges, bail hearings, impaired driving, drug offences, Highway Traffic Act violations, property crimes and youth and young offender cases, and Humby has appeared before both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. The work also touches on Gladue related matters and cases with mental health considerations. While based in Chatham-Kent, the firm serves clients across Southwestern Ontario, with a presence in Windsor-Essex and Sarnia by appointment, and offers free consultations to prospective clients.
