About Yunfei

Yunfei Zhang is an associate at Opus Legal LLP. Zhang earned an LL.B from Tsinghua University in China and an LL.M from Cornell University in the United States, giving Zhang knowledge of both the Chinese and American legal systems. After returning to Canada in 2021, Zhang received the Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada and was called to the Alberta bar in December 2022. Before articling at Opus Legal LLP, Zhang worked as a contract coordinator for an oil and gas pipeline services company, and during law school worked on M&A negotiations and IPO launches on the Hong Kong Stock Market and clerked at the Shanghai Pudong Court. Zhang's practice areas include business and corporate law, family law, litigation, real estate, and notary services, and Zhang is a member of the Canadian Bar Association's Alberta South Elder Law Section, Global Lawyers of Canada, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. Zhang is fluent in English and Chinese.
