About William

William (Bill) Wardell, K.C. is senior counsel at Procido LLP, practicing in wills and estates, real estate, employment law, farm law, small business law, and family law, with particular experience representing Aboriginal clients in child and family services matters. He completed his Bachelor of Arts and law degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 1971 and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1972. Early in his career, Bill served as Secretary to the Carter Commission on Legal Aid and spent 13 years helping establish Saskatchewan's community-based legal aid plan, including as Director of the Saskatoon Legal Assistance Clinic. He established his own law firm in 1986 and has since acted as counsel for a major Aboriginal communications organization and a northern Aboriginal economic development corporation. Bill was born and raised near Lemsford, Saskatchewan, and continues to farm cattle and grain near Floral, Saskatchewan. He was named King's Counsel in 1994.
