About Valérie

Valérie Laberge has practised family law since her admission to the Barreau du Québec in 2009 and focuses much of her practice on family mediation. She holds a master's degree in private law, with research examining shared custody arrangements. She sits on the Barreau du Québec's family law expert group and teaches at the École du Barreau du Québec, where she also trains aspiring family mediators. Laberge received the Young Bar of Montreal's Family Law Lawyer of the Year award in 2019. She publishes articles and speaks regularly on family law topics and has appeared before parliamentary and Senate committees on family law legislation. Her practice, based in the Ahuntsic neighbourhood of Montreal, emphasizes accessible pricing through reduced hourly rates and package fees.
