Trung Nguyen has a broad and varied litigation practice, having practiced for over 20 years at some of Canada's largest Bay Street firms before establishing Trung Nguyen Professional Corporation. Nguyen is often retained by victims of fraud or on conflict matters referred by other lawyers. Nguyen received an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Economics from Queen's University, receiving the Sesquicentennial Scholarship, Queen's second-highest entrance scholarship, and attended Osgoode Hall Law School, obtaining a Specialization in International, Comparative and Transnational Law and receiving the Goodman Carr Award for Academic Excellence. Nguyen has taught Trial Advocacy at the University of Toronto and presented at legal and industry conferences on fraud, enforcement and extraordinary remedies. Nguyen received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for work as a board member of the Vietnamese Association, Toronto, and continues to devote part of the practice to community and pro bono causes, particularly for low-income individuals, refugees and social justice matters.
