Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionTristen Pomerance is the founder of Legally Built, a boutique construction law firm in Calgary. She practises construction dispute resolution, project structuring and compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, and risk management and governance. Before starting her own firm, she served as in-house counsel for an international general contractor, leading multimillion-dollar disputes and advising on major infrastructure projects across Canada, and earlier practised litigation at a national and local boutique firm, appearing before every level of court in Alberta and the Federal Court of Canada. Her matters have included a Federal Court patent and pipeline technology trial, the widely covered appeal over the relocation of Lucy the elephant from the Edmonton Valley Zoo, and a $100 million multiparty arbitration. She holds a BA from Mount Royal University and an LLB with First Class Honours from Cardiff University, and has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 2017.
