About Taylor
Taylor takes a trauma-informed approach to her practice, using strong written and oral advocacy to keep client stories central to litigation. Much of her work involves cases tied to gender-based violence and exploitation, including assault and abuse, institutional negligence, defamation and wrongful dismissal, and she has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court and Court of Appeal. She earned her law degree from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, cum laude, where she focused on Dispute Resolution and Professionalism, and has served as a mentor with the university's Legal Writing Academy since 2020. Before joining Gillian Hnatiw & Co. she helped with the publication of the International Handbook of Technology-Facilitated Violence and Abuse. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2023.
