About Taragh

Taragh Bracken earned an undergraduate degree in arts and economics from the University of Dublin before qualifying as a solicitor in Ireland in 1996, later setting up immigration offices in Ireland, Peru, and Malaysia. After moving to Canada, she articled with Toronto Counsel focusing on bankruptcy law, was called to the Ontario bar in 1999, and founded her own Durham Region practice in 2004 concentrating on family law. Her background in bankruptcy and real estate law helps her negotiate fair outcomes in financial and property disputes, and her work spans custody, child and spousal support, and property division. She favors amicable settlement where possible but is comfortable litigating when needed, and belongs to the Durham Region Law Association.
