About Tanya
Tanya Walker is the managing partner of Walker Law. She earned her law degree from Osgoode Hall in 2005 and a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in 2002, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2006. She is now serving her third term as a Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario, having been chosen in 2016 as the first Black woman elected to that role from Toronto in the Society's long history. She was re-elected in 2019 and 2023 and is certified by the Law Society as a specialist in civil litigation. Tanya appears regularly as a legal analyst on CTV's Your Morning and is active with the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers.
