About Sylvan

Sylvan Schneider founded Schneider Attorneys in October 2004 and continues to lead the firm, practising real estate law, estate law, construction law, and civil and commercial litigation. He represents both commercial and residential clients in disputes including landlord-tenant matters, latent defects, real estate commission claims, neighbour disputes, and contested estate and succession matters, and he drafts and negotiates commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, and other complex agreements. In construction law he advises condominium syndicates, property owners, and contractors, particularly on legal and conventional hypothecs, and he has appeared before the Régie du logement, the Court of Québec, the Superior Court, and the Court of Appeal. Before founding his firm, he was in-house counsel for a major international financial and insurance services organization, focusing on securities, insurance, and business law. He earned his LL.B. from the Université de Montréal in 1996, was called to the Quebec Bar in 1999, and is fluent in English, French, and Hebrew.
