Steven Kennedy is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and a certified specialist in intellectual property (trademarks). He prosecutes and manages trademark and industrial design portfolios and represents clients in trademark oppositions, copyright disputes, and domain name arbitrations before federal and Ontario courts and administrative tribunals. He holds leadership roles with the International Trademark Association and the Defense Research Institute, was named a Lexpert Rising Star in 2022, and is conversant in French. He earned his degree cum laude from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Common Law in 2008.
