About Sophie

Sophie Beauvais holds a law degree from Université de Sherbrooke and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2014. Beauvais began her career as a Crown prosecutor at the Montréal municipal court before moving, in 2017, to the Direction des poursuites criminelles et pénales (DPCP), handling files ranging from impaired driving to domestic violence and developing a focus on sexual offences. Beauvais has pleaded matters at trial and on appeal and taught investigators at the École nationale de police du Québec, joining Hamelin Picard Beauvais in February 2019.
