About Shamim
Shamim Aidun was born and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, and practises exclusively in estate law, covering estate planning, estate administration, and estate-related disputes. She completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia, a Master of Arts in Applied Legal Studies at Simon Fraser University, and her law degree at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, receiving several academic scholarships along the way. Before returning to Kelowna, she articled and practised in the Cariboo region, developing a broad-based practice that included family law. She has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as before the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the Civil Resolution Tribunal, and the Residential Tenancy Branch. She is active with the Canadian Bar Association's British Columbia Branch, serving on its Provincial Council and chairing its Wills & Trusts Section (Okanagan), and is a member of the Kelowna Estate Planning Society, the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and the Kelowna Bar Association.
