About Sean
Sean Moldowan practiced Alberta family law exclusively from 2010 until his retirement, working as a mediator and Registered Collaborative Lawyer who favoured settling disputes without court where possible while recognizing that litigation was sometimes the more efficient path. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with First-Class Honours from the University of Victoria in 1993 and a Juris Doctor from Queen's University in 1996, and was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1998 and the Alberta Bar in 2009. Sean spent four years living in Japan and was involved in the Calgary legal community as an instructor for the Alberta Bar Admission Course (CPLED), a practitioner judge for first-year moots at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, and an advising lawyer for the university's Student Legal Assistance program. He also served on the Board of the Alberta Association for Collaborative Divorce and volunteered as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary.
