Scott Dunlop provides strategic, fractional legal counsel to British Columbia businesses, practising as Strategic Counsel at Adrian & Co. Barristers & Solicitors. He began his career as a labour and business litigator at Farris before joining Davis (now DLA Piper), where he chaired both the Employment & Labour and Government Relations departments, working in administrative law, executive employment, shareholder remedies, and high-stakes negotiations. He attended and later taught in Harvard Law School's Advanced Negotiation and Mediation programs. Scott has advised many of British Columbia's leading corporations on regulatory, venture, shareholder, executive employment, and commercial matters, and led the national legal team that closed Harman International's acquisition of QNX Software Systems. He later joined Beadle Raven LLP, a business law boutique, before serving as strategic general counsel independently to companies in the tech and pharmaceutical sectors. With over 40 years of experience, Scott focuses on quickly assessing legal issues, resolving disputes efficiently, and referring matters to specialist counsel when needed.
