About Sarah

Sarah Rauch is the sole practitioner at Rauch Darby & Company, a small Vancouver practice she established in 2006 out of the Dominion Building. She has an academic background in Indigenous and women's issues and is particularly interested in how the law affects children and communities as well as individuals. Her clients commonly include people who face a disadvantage in the legal system, in matters touching on liberty, human rights, health, and economic status. She appears regularly in courts in both rural and urban settings across British Columbia. She received the British Columbia Canadian Bar Association's Equality and Diversity Award in 2010 and the University of British Columbia Indigenous Law Students' Association's Courage in Law Award in 2014. She has served on the CBA Children's Law Committee as representative for the Aboriginal Section and on a UN Convention on the Rights of the Child subcommittee. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, the Clinical Legal Education Association, and the Association of Canadian Clinical Legal Education.
