About Sandra
Sandy earned her law degree from Western University, finishing among the top ten students in her 1990 class, and also holds a business diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University and a master's degree from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Earlier in her career she worked in class action litigation, corporate structuring, and environmental compliance, including a stint as in-house counsel for a charity overseas. Wills and estates has become her real focus, and since joining JNS Law in 2023 she's handled estate litigation matters such as dependent relief claims, executor removal and replacement, passing of accounts, and guardianship applications, along with complex estate planning work. She also teaches as a professor and coordinates the Paralegal Program at Durham College, and is active with the Durham Community Legal Clinic and the Oshawa Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
