About Samantha
Samantha Kompa is the founder of Kompa Law, an employment and human rights law practice serving Belleville, Kingston, Peterborough and the surrounding area. She graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa's Common Law program, articled at Ross & McBride LLP, and was called to the bar in 2017, going on to work as an associate at that firm supporting clients in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area. She later worked as a staff lawyer at Halton Community Legal Services, representing marginalized and underrepresented communities in employment, housing, income security and human rights matters, before founding Kompa Law in 2019. Her experience includes appearances before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Social Benefits Tribunal, and adjudications under the Canada Labour Code. She represents both employees and employers in employment law matters.
