About Salim

Salim Hirji provides litigation counsel to individuals and companies involved in complex business disputes, including contract, shareholder, real estate, construction and expropriation matters. He started Hirji Law Corporation in January 2014 after working at large firms in Ontario and British Columbia, focusing on representing small and medium-sized businesses. He earned his LLB from the University of Toronto in 2002 and a BA (Hons) from McGill University in 1999, and completed bar admission training in Ontario (2003) and British Columbia (2006). He has appeared before all levels of court in BC and Ontario, the Supreme Court of Canada, and numerous administrative tribunals, and has authored and presented on topics including expropriation compensation and foreign currency debt collection.
