About Rupa

Rupa Murthi is a senior lawyer with more than 14 years of family law experience, representing clients across the Greater Toronto Area before tribunals, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. After articling and practising at small and mid-sized GTA firms, she built experience in family law, child protection, wills and estates, and real estate. She later worked at the Law Society of Ontario, helping lawyers with practice management and service standards. Rupa has taught part-time at Fanshawe College in its Paralegal Family Legal Service Provider Program and volunteers with CommunitiCare Health Clinic, offering pro bono help to low-income individuals. She earned her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and holds Honours degrees in both Science and Arts from Western University. Rupa favours resolving disputes outside of court where possible, while remaining a firm advocate in litigation when needed.
