About Ruby

Ruby Lau provides fractional in-house counsel to founders and growing businesses, advising on commercial contracts, compliance, and day-to-day operational legal questions. She articled with a Crown corporation and completed a secondment at a national Vancouver firm working in corporate, wills and estates, and employment law. During law school she worked in human rights litigation at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of British Columbia and a Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University, and completed a Master of Laws in International Commercial Arbitration at Stockholm University along with exchange coursework in international business law in Lyon, France. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2020 and volunteers with Access Pro Bono and the Richmond Multicultural Community Services board.
