About Rose-Mary

Rose-Mary Liu Basham, K.C., is the founder of Basham Law and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for over 15 years in corporate/commercial law and family law litigation. She acts for a diverse range of clients, from multinationals to entrepreneurs, including real estate developers, radio and TV stations, and individuals and corporations with multi-jurisdictional assets, and has also handled constitutional and human rights challenges. She has litigated extensively in the British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada. Rose-Mary was born in Hong Kong, attended high school and university in British Columbia, and is fluent in Cantonese. She holds an LLB and a BA Honours in Business Economics, both from the University of British Columbia, was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1977, and has held the King's Counsel designation since 1989. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of BC.
