About Rod
Rod is the owner, lawyer, and accredited mediator at East City Legal in Peterborough. Born and raised in Peterborough, he returned home with his family after living in London, Nanaimo, Toronto, and Barrie. His practice focuses on family law, and he favours a collaborative approach that starts by identifying each client's core interests, concerns, and goals before generating options to resolve disputes outside of court, though he also represents clients through the court process when needed. He is trained in both Collaborative Practice and mediation and holds a mediation certificate from Riverdale Mediation. Rod completed a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Fanshawe College, an Honours Degree in International Development Studies from Trent University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Osgoode Hall Law School.
