About Robert

Robert P. Lee was born and raised in Edmonton and was on the Dean's Honor List in both the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Law. He articled at Blake, Cassels and Graydon in Calgary before returning to Edmonton, and was admitted to the Law Society in 1990. Lee has extensive litigation experience in criminal law and civil litigation and was hired by the provincial government to prosecute criminal charges. He held a part-time judicial appointment as a Justice of the Peace on the Provincial Court from 1997 to 2010. His practice now focuses on helping victims, particularly survivors of sexual abuse, pursue compensation through lawsuits, settlements, and Crimes Compensation Act applications, and he has obtained two certified class actions against Alberta Child Welfare. He was nominated as one of the 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada for Human Rights by Canadian Lawyer Magazine in 2017.
