About Robert

Robert is the founder and Principal of Brunet & Co and a Registered Patent Agent with more than two decades of experience in corporate and intellectual property strategy, IP transaction due diligence, in-house portfolio management, and Canadian and international patent prosecution. He is registered to practise before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. Before his legal career, he worked in research and development and held senior management roles at a water treatment equipment manufacturer, where he is listed as principal inventor on several US and international patents. He later founded BeaconUV, a company that makes patented N95 mask sterilization technology, and served as president of a wind turbine manufacturer before its sale. He holds a Master of Engineering Science in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Bio-Chemical Engineering, both from the University of Western Ontario, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
