About Rene

Rene Larson founded the firm and has practiced law in Northwestern Ontario for five decades, having started at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in 1970 after an Honours Economics degree from Lakehead University. Born and raised in Kenora, he finished high school in Thunder Bay before returning to practice there, and he served four terms on Thunder Bay City Council while continuing to practice. His work focuses on estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, and trusts, along with real estate transactions, land development, and corporate and commercial matters, including litigation when needed. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1975 and marked his 50th year of call in March 2025.
