Rajiv Bhalla is the founding member of Bhalla Law Office, with over 27 years of legal experience. He began his legal career in India, practising at the Patiala District Court, and after immigrating to Canada worked with Alberta Justice and the Solicitor General until 1997 before being admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1998. His practice has focused on Canadian immigration, refugee, and criminal matters, as well as commercial work for local developers and home builders. In 2017 he was named Chairperson of the National Small & Solo General Practice Forum of the Canadian Bar Association, an organization he first joined as its inaugural Member-at-Large in 2010. He is a founding trustee of a school in south Edmonton that now serves more than 350 students.
