About Rachel

Rachel Islam is a partner in Gardiner Roberts LLP's Business Law Group and Financial Services Group. Her practice covers corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and secured lending transactions across industries including technology, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, energy and infrastructure, healthcare, hospitality, and commercial real estate. She regularly acts for Canadian Schedule I banks and other financial institutions, along with private lenders and corporate borrowers, on regional, multi-jurisdictional, and cross-border lending deals, including acquisition financings, technology debt financings, real estate financings, and asset-based lending. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2019.
