About R.
R. Daniel Lyons practices from Vanderhoof, British Columbia, serving clients across Northern British Columbia in tax law, corporate and commercial matters, wills and estates, real estate, and family law. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of Northern British Columbia in 1999 before deciding to pursue law, earning his LL.B. from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario in 2005. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 2007 and went on to complete an LL.M. in tax law at the University of Toronto, where his thesis won the Canadian Tax Foundation-Fasken Martineau DuMoulin Award for Ontario. He worked as a tax analyst at CCH Canada Ltd. in Toronto and gained further experience in immigration, corporate, and tax law with boutique firms in Toronto and Calgary before returning to his hometown of Vanderhoof to start his own practice. He later spent 16 months in 2015 working remotely for a Toronto tax law firm before returning to focus on his own practice, which now includes tax, real estate, wills and estates, corporate, and family law.
