About Peter

Peter E. Norell has more than 30 years of experience as a civil litigator handling occupiers liability, product liability, professional negligence, insurance, personal injury, construction, and commercial litigation matters. He is Martindale-Hubbell/LexisNexis Peer Review Rated as Distinguished with a very high rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, and has been selected for The Best Lawyers in Canada in insurance law and corporate/commercial litigation. Peter represents provincial, national, and international companies across western Canada in retail, transportation, manufacturing, engineering, construction, chemical, insurance, and fire and security industries. He has added a mediation practice, training through Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation and Pepperdine Law School's Straus Institute, and is also a trained arbitrator through the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is a former President and Director of the Vancouver Bar Association. Peter was called to the bar of Alberta in 1991 and British Columbia in 1992. He holds an LLB from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law (1990) and a BA from the University of Victoria (1985).
