Paul's practice is restricted to plaintiff personal injury cases, with an emphasis on motor vehicle accidents, accident benefits, long-term disability, WSIB, and CPP, including catastrophic impairment claims. He graduated from McMaster University in 1979 and from the University of Ottawa law school in 1982, and was called to the bar in 1984.
