About Patrick

Patrick Lamarre has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2011. Before starting his legal career, he held a number of jobs that gave him a strong awareness of the difficulties people can face at different stages of life. In the legal field, he has worked at a Montreal firm, as a legal researcher at the Court of Appeal of Québec, and at Université Laval's legal information office. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science (2008) and a bachelor of law (2010) from Université Laval, a Juris Doctor (2013) and a Master of Laws (2015) from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and a bachelor's degree in translation (2018) from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He has worked as a freelance legal translator between English and French since 2017 and has been an OTTIAQ-certified translator since 2019. Lamarre received an honours mention for his political science degree and was named to the Dean's honour list at Université Laval's Faculty of Law.
