About Patrick

Patrick Jacques founded Patrick Jacques Avocat and has practiced criminal law in Quebec for more than 20 years. A former Crown prosecutor, he draws on that experience to anticipate the strategies used by the prosecution when building a defence. He is a member of the Barreau du Québec and the Law Society of Ontario, and has argued cases before the Supreme Court of Canada. Patrick Jacques received the Meritas award from the Association des avocats de la défense du Québec (AADQ) for his work in criminal law, and founded the legal information platforms immigratingcanada.com and theattorney.ca. His practice covers criminal offences including theft, fraud, impaired driving, sexual offences, drugs and firearms, as well as cases where a criminal charge or conviction threatens a client's immigration status. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Association des avocats de la défense du Québec, in addition to the Law Society of Ontario and the Barreau du Québec.
