About Patrick
Patrick Dearden has practised law in British Columbia since being called to the bar in 1983, after earning his law degree at the University of Alberta. He previously served as an infantry officer in the Canadian Armed Forces and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History from the Royal Military College of Canada. After more than four decades in practice, he now limits his work to criminal defence and has appeared before every level of court in the province, up to the BC Court of Appeal. He is based in Cranbrook and shares office space with fellow criminal defence lawyer Kellie Fowler, with whom he collaborates on some files, though she practises under her own, separate firm.
