About Patrick

Patrick C. Lamey, KC, was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, but has deep family roots in Cape Breton. He graduated with honours from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 1992, articled at what was then Evans MacIsaac MacMillan, and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1993. He became an associate soon after and a co-owner and manager of EMM Law in 2014. His practice covers wills and estate planning, probate and estate administration, real estate, elder law, corporate and commercial matters, and municipal law, and he is qualified under the Nova Scotia Land Registration Act to migrate property titles. He is active in the Canadian Bar Association's Nova Scotia branch and the Real Estate Lawyers Association of Nova Scotia, is a founding board member of the Celtic Colours International Festival, and received the King's Counsel designation in 2023.
