About Opeyemi
Opeyemi Afeni is an associate at MD Law Group focusing on employment and criminal law. He practised law in Nigeria for seven years after being called to the Nigerian bar in 2012, starting as an associate to Andy Igboekwe, SAN, and later founding his own firm, R-Law Strauss, handling civil and criminal matters including employment, land, aviation, banking, electoral and immigration files. After moving to Canada in 2020, he joined MD Law Group in the fall of 2022, initially as a Legal Research Assistant, before becoming an associate and a member of the Alberta bar. He holds an LLB from Adekunle Ajasin University and an LLM from Obafemi Awolowo University, both in Nigeria.
