About Nicole
Nicole Biros-Bolton is the founder and principal lawyer of Bird Bolt Law, a Hamilton-based employment, human rights, and education law firm. She began working in gender-based violence support at 17, as a volunteer and later a crisis-line worker at a rape crisis centre, then supported crime victims in the criminal courts and worked as an intake counsellor running trauma groups for survivors at the Barbra Schlifer Clinic in Toronto. She studied law in England before returning to Canada, where she supported pregnant people fleeing abuse and managed anti-human trafficking programs in a child and youth clinic. She founded LEAF Hamilton, the Hamilton chapter of the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund, and serves as a board member at YWCA Hamilton. She regularly presents on employment law, human rights law, and the use of artificial intelligence in legal practice for the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
