About Nicole Arski

Nicole Arski is an associate lawyer at Collett Read LLP who practises criminal defence, and clients can work with Nicole in either English or Polish. Nicole is proud to belong to the Polish community. Criminal law wasn't a path Nicole drifted into: the goal was settled from the first year of law school.

Nicole's time at Collett Read started in the summer of 2022, as a second-year law student, and articling at the firm followed in 2023. Those student years brought complex cases that involved wiretaps, and they're where a strong interest in impaired driving cases took hold.

In law school at Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law, Nicole picked up awards for both written and oral advocacy. Nicole won the 2022 Smith Shield Moot, then in 2023 helped Schulich claim the Canadian national title in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot, beating the University of Toronto in the final before heading to the international rounds in Washington.

Before law school, Nicole finished a BA in political science at McGill University in 2019. An undergraduate internship with Ghana's Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice in Accra sparked a lasting drive to stand up for the rights of ordinary people. At McGill, Nicole was also Deputy Head-Delegate of the McGill Model UN Delegation Team in early 2018 and travelled to Harvard to compete.
