About John
John East owns and operates East Law, a criminal defence practice handling matters before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court, from murder and drug trafficking charges down to impaired driving. He brings more than a decade of experience in criminal law, including seven years on complex cases, and pairs thorough pre-trial research with careful attention to whether police conduct may have infringed his clients' constitutional rights. A graduate of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law in Thunder Bay, he also holds an Honours BA with a double major in Philosophy and Political Science and a Master's degree in Political Science, and he once taught law as an instructor at York University. He has received Certificates of Excellence as a top DUI lawyer for several consecutive years.
