About Nicola
Nicola Circelli is a criminal defence lawyer serving London and across Ontario, called to the Bar of Ontario in 2016. Nicola Circelli graduated from McGill University in 2009 with a double major in History and Political Science, completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Leicester in 2012, and earned a Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2013. Experience in research and advocacy grew from the 2013 International Criminal Law Trial Competition in the Netherlands, followed by work at a Toronto law firm gaining on-the-job training in criminal defence. After completing the National Committee on Accreditation exams, Nicola Circelli articled with Circelli Law and joined as an associate upon call to the bar in 2016, before launching an independent practice in 2019. Nicola Circelli has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, served as Past President of the Middlesex Law Association and Vice President of the Criminal Lawyers' Association, and belongs to the Provincial Criminal Lawyers' Association, Women in Canadian Criminal Defence, and the Law and Mental Disorder Association.
