About Nerissa

Nerissa is one of the few Mandarin-speaking civil and commercial litigation lawyers in Vancouver, representing corporate and individual clients in contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, creditor/debtor remedies, real estate and strata disputes, construction disputes, commercial leases, fraud, professional negligence, estate litigation, and foreclosure proceedings, and has developed a niche practice enforcing foreign judgments and arbitral awards in BC. She also appears before the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the Employment Standards Branch, the Residential Tenancy Branch, and several regulatory bodies, and works as a mediator. She is admitted to practise in both British Columbia and Ontario, provides services in English and Mandarin, and speaks conversational Japanese. In 2020 she was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada in the Young Influencer Category and has since been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada.
