About Nduka

Nduka "Duke" Ahanonu has practised law across two jurisdictions since becoming a lawyer in 1999. While working as an associate at a law firm in Nigeria, he practised extensively in corporate and commercial law and civil litigation. He founded Duke & Company after his admission to the Alberta bar in 2010, and the firm has since grown considerably. He completed an LLM at the University of Alberta focusing his research on mediation and other non-adversarial dispute resolution methods, followed by further certificates and training in negotiation and mediation. He is actively involved in the community, volunteering with organizations including the Rotary Club and his church.
