About Natalia Pawlowski

Natalia Pawlowski is a criminal defence lawyer at Collett Read LLP who stands beside people facing charges such as domestic assault, sexual assault, firearms and drug offences. Natalia handles bail hearings, preliminary hearings and trials in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. Sexual assault defence is a focus of Natalia's practice, and Charter compliance is a real passion: when the system has breached a client's rights, that becomes part of the defence.

Clients can work with Natalia in English or in Polish. Natalia is also on the Legal Aid Ontario panel.

Criminal defence was Natalia's goal from an early age. At Osgoode Hall, Natalia's coursework centred almost entirely on criminal and public law, and placements through the Criminal Law Intensive Program meant helping defence counsel on a serious homicide trial that ran for several months. Natalia's time at Collett Read began in summer 2021, while still a second-year law student, and the articling year with the firm followed in 2022. Called to the Ontario bar in June 2023, Natalia has stayed on ever since as an associate.

Mississauga is where Natalia grew up, the only child of parents who came to Canada from Poland, and hard work has been part of Natalia's life all along; a challenge isn't something to back away from. These days Natalia lives in Hamilton after a recent move and likes to spend downtime cooking, decorating and discovering the city.
