About Nancy

Drolet completed her law degree at the Université de Montréal in 1998 and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2000. She has been an accredited family mediator since 2006 and became a mediator in civil, commercial, and employment law in 2015, as well as small claims mediation since 2014. She began her career in 1999 articling in commercial, corporate, civil, labour, environmental, and administrative law at Gaz Métropolitain, then practised family and civil litigation at Alepin Gauthier avocats in Laval from 2000 to 2002. She later worked in tax law, as a tax editor for CCH Publications and then as a lawyer and objections officer at the Ministère du Revenu du Québec, followed by a stint as a reviewer at the CSST and as a tax lawyer for Investissement Québec. From 2007 to 2014 she ran her own practice in Châteauguay in family law and family mediation, then co-founded Drolet Pigeon Avocats inc. with Roxane Trudel-Pigeon in 2014; the firm became Drolet Pigeon Ste-Marie Avocats Médiateurs inc. when Renée Ste-Marie joined as a partner in August 2018. Her practice now focuses on mediation and the non-litigious side of family, civil, and commercial law. She is a member of the Barreau du Québec, the Barreau de Richelieu, and the Association de médiation familiale du Québec, and served as president of the Camp musical de Châteauguay from 2015 to 2020.
