About Nancy
Nancy A. Swanby is a Barrister and Solicitor, Mediator, and Notary Public practising in Calgary, Alberta, with over 30 years of experience in both corporate and private practice. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta in 1985, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary in 1989, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Calgary in 1990. She articled with Howard Mackie, Barristers & Solicitors in 1991, served as corporate counsel at Nova Corporation, and later practised with Tousignant Young and with Campbell Taylor O'Hara before founding the Law Office of Nancy A. Swanby in 2004. Her practice focuses on real estate, family law, and wills and estates, and she favours a collaborative, good-faith approach to resolving disputes where possible. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Calgary Bar Association, and the Real Estate Investment Network.
