About Monty

Monty Fordham practised law in St. Thomas from 1980 until 2024, and mentored Michael Brightling and Candace Watson both before and after his retirement. He served on numerous local boards, including the St. Thomas and District Chamber of Commerce, the St. Thomas Downtown Development Board, the St. Thomas Homebuilders Association, the St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre, and Family and Children's Services of St. Thomas and Elgin County. He wrote a monthly legal column for the Chamber of Commerce's "Business Beat" publication for over 20 years, and received the Chamber's Chair's award in 2018 for his contributions.
