About Michelle
Michelle Volkmann is a family lawyer practising throughout British Columbia under her own firm, Volkmann Law. She provides full family law services ranging from short engagements such as cohabitation agreements to complex, time-consuming litigation, drawing on a large network of other lawyers and professionals built over her career. She grew up in South Africa and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management from the University of South Africa, along with two Master of Laws degrees, from the Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia and from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Before focusing on family law, she articled at a criminal law firm in Vancouver, which gave her a foundation in litigation and court procedure. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and is fluent in English and Afrikaans. Michelle works with clients who qualify for Legal Aid BC and offers a free initial consultation.
