Health LawMichèle Lamarre-Leroux holds a combined civil law and common law degree (B.C.L./LL.B.) from McGill University, completed in 2014, and articled at the Centre communautaire juridique de Montréal. She was called to the Quebec bar in October 2015 and went on to work at legal aid offices in Montréal, Saint-Jérôme, and Joliette before obtaining a permanent position at the Bureau d'aide juridique de Sherbrooke in 2017. She has represented clients before the criminal and penal chamber of the Cour du Québec and the Cour Supérieure, before municipal courts, and before the Commission d'examen des troubles mentaux. She now focuses on victim representation and support in cases of sexual and domestic violence, criminal and penal defence, and health law, and works in French, English, and Spanish. She also gives talks and radio segments on legal topics and supervises law students in clinical courses and legal competitions.
