About Michael

Michael Alexander founded Litigationworks in 2013 after training as a litigator at a major Bay Street firm and completing graduate legal studies at Columbia Law School. He is best known for representing homeowners and investors against State Farm U.S. in a six-year legal battle over property insurance regulation that reached the Supreme Court of Canada, resulting in a unanimous judgment in his favour. He is a member of the Bar of Ontario, qualified to practise in other provinces under the National Mobility Agreement, and holds law degrees from the University of Toronto and Columbia University.
