Melynda Layton was called to the bar in 1996. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto, and a bachelor's degree in psychology and law from Carleton University. She founded Layton Law Office in 2006 and represents employers, executives, and employees across a broad range of workplace matters, including wrongful dismissal, executive compensation, restrictive covenants, workplace investigations, human rights claims, and occupational health and safety. She appears regularly before Ontario courts, the Federal Court, and various administrative tribunals, and serves on the board of The Salvation Army's Grace Manor.
